About M.S.G.

M.S.G. Comedy, formerly No MSG Added Comedy, is a comedy collective founded by Shinshin Yuder Tsai and Eric Vue in 2018. Inspired by shows like SNL and MadTV, the collective was originally envisioned as a space for Asian American comedy in Orange County and serves as a platform to make sure Asians were in the room, on the stage, and behind the table. Even today, as we’ve expanded our goals beyond exclusively AAPI, our focus remains the same: connecting community through humor and laughter.

Since its founding, M.S.G. Comedy has performed all over California at events that include Coup De Comedy Festival, SF Sketch Fest, The Marsh Studio, and Chance Theater. The team is made up of writers and performers that have stage credits at South Coast Rep, the Second City Mainstage, Long Beach Playhouse, as well as film/tv credits on Jury Duty Presents, Spidey & His Amazing Friends, Last Comic Standing, and PEN15.

Growing and empowering our community remains our top commitment, and our mission will continue to evolve to better encompass our values.

Calling All Actors and Comedians!

Are you looking for a space to grow as a performer and build community with other creative, like-Minded artists? Do you want to stretch your acting skills, explore comedy, and tap into a sense of childlike wonder and play? Ever wanted to dress up as an anthropomorphic candy corn on a talk Show? Now’s your chance!

We’re looking for passionate performers who want to help create something from the Ground up, whether you love comedy or just curious to try it! You’ll also have an opportunity to be part of our upcoming October and December 2026 shows.

Due to technical issues with our application form, we ask that folks bring a hard copy (printed version) of your resume and headshot to the audition.
